Our last Ofsted Report was in December 2017, when we awarded a ‘Good’ grade overall for the standard of education in the school.
Some highlights from the report:
‘Teaching and learning is good. New approaches are enabling current pupils to make improving progress in reading, writing and mathematics so that pupils’ achievement is now improving swiftly across the school. However, these strategies have not had time to have an impact on statutory assessments.’
‘The school’s work to support pupils’ personal development and welfare is good. Vulnerable pupils receive effective support to overcome any barriers to learning, so that they now make at least good progress from their various starting points.’
‘The school has a caring, inclusive ethos. Pupils are keen to learn and enjoy the wide range of curricular and enrichment activities provided for them.’
