Maths

On this page you will find information about what maths looks like here at Sprowston Junior.

The 'Maths at Sprowston Junior School' document below gives a summary of maths in class and at home. It also highlights some of the ongoing assessments and interventions that are used to support learning.

We use White Rose Maths as a starting point for maths planning and adapt to meet the individual needs of our children. The 'Maths overview' documents show the planning blocks that children will be following each term. These may change and be adapted depending on the needs throughout the year.

The 'Maths NC by WRM block...' documents show how the planned blocks of learning match with the National Curriculum programme of study for maths in each year group.

The 'WRM progression by year group' document illustrates the sequenced learning and progression for years 1 to 6 in each of the major topic areas (Number, Measurement, Geometry and Statistics).
