The children have been working incredibly hard all year towards the SATs, and we know that they will continue to show this positive attitude to learning in the next week leading up to SATs. Remember: every lesson, every intervention group and every piece of homework counts.

SATs week will take place on the week of 8Th May 2023.

Things will be a little bit different to normal this year due to the extra bank holiday celebrating the Kings Coronation on Monday 8th May.

Monday 8th May – BANK HOLIDAY

Tuesday 9th May - English Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (2 papers).

Wednesday 10th May – English Reading.

Thursday 11th May – Maths Paper 1 - Arithmetic. Maths Paper 2 - Reasoning.

Friday 12th May – Maths Paper 3 – Reasoning.

We aim to make SATs week as relaxed as possible. Plenty of sleep, a good breakfast and arriving at school on time will really benefit the children.

We will also be welcoming children into school from 8:30am on SATS days to help with any worries or just to give them a little time to relax before the test; there may also be some delicious snacks available!

If you have any worries or queries regarding SATs, please do not hesitate to contact one of the Year 6 team.

With only a term left of junior school, we will be continuing to prepare the children for their move to high school. The children will get the chance to visit their new high schools, and we will meet with staff from the different high schools to ensure a smooth transition. For some children (and parents!) this can be a worrying time, so please contact us, if you have any concerns.
