Dear Parents & Carers

We have reached the holidays! It's been a long first term with many great memories to look back on, and I know the children all have some personal favourite events and lessons from the autumn term. It's time for us all to take a break enjoy the Christmas period, re-charging batteries ready for the spring term ahead.

Thank you for the support this term. This may have been by supporting events in school, supporting friends' events or supporting with resources needed for class.  We very much appreciate the help from all our families, and we really do appreciate it.

The clubs list for the spring term will emailed out in the first few days back. We also have our Wrap-around care with different payment options. Please do enquire at the office if this is something you may be interested in.

We say goodbye today to Mr Clarke who has been with us this term in Year 3/4. I know the children are sad to see him go and have enjoyed being taught by him. We wish him well.

On behalf of all the staff and governors, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you in 2026!

Kind regards

Matt

Matt Walton, Headteacher

Christmas Concerts

We very much enjoyed two fantastic concerts at St Cuthbert's and once again appreciate Reverend Tim allowing us to use the fantastic church to host our carols. It was lovely to share those afternoons with family members, and we hope it brought a Christmassy feeling to all! The children performed brilliantly on both days and we were very proud of them all.

Musical Theatre - Superstar

We hope those who came along on Tuesday were entertained and enjoyed the performance. We were very proud of all the children and thought they were fantastic. The whole cast should be pleased with how well they worked together and thank you for the support from home. Particular mentions also to Alexa for helping with the choreography and Florence for her fantastic solo.

Christmas Lunch

The children were in good spirits for our Christmas lunch this week. Christmas tunes were playing, and some children were able to sing along to the songs. There was a good atmosphere in the hall and we hope the children really enjoyed themselves.

Santa Dash

The friends' Santa Dash has become a festive favourite and the children once again enjoyed getting outside to run around whilst getting covered in 'snow'! Santa was on hand to support the children with their running and the children also received a chocolate lolly too! Our thanks to Mrs Hartley, Mrs Lewis, Mrs Towers & of course, Santa for organising the event once again.

Choir

The choir will continue after Christmas, after school on Thursdays. We are looking for some new members as they prepare to perform at the Norfolk Music Festival in March. The choir will also re-brand as the Sprowston Singers! If your child likes singing, please encourage them to sign up for the Sprowston Singers - we look forward to seeing the group continue to grow and will be looking for further opportunities for them to perform.

Christmas Disco

We had so much fun last night at the disco, and we've got plenty of tired children in school today ready for the Christmas break! We hope all who came along enjoyed themselves and need to say a big thank you to all the adults who helped out to make the event possible.
