Family Week started with a very hot day and 'Wake & Shake' was postponed until Tuesday due to hot weather. We had many family members with us for didgeridoo and art sessions and many nice comments left regarding how good they were. For pictures from Monday - please see the gallery.
Tuesday was a wonderful day. It started with 'Wake & Shake' with adults and pupils joining in brilliantly. The Zumba and Singing activities were well received and we were impressed with all the enthusiasm and effort, especially with the warm conditions. Family lunch went well and in the afternoon, the Year 3 'Cream teas' was lovely and very well attended. For all the pictures, please see the gallery.
On Wednesday we were very happy to see so many parents for the coffee morning and 'read with your child' event. We had too many for the library and with such lovely weather, it was great to look out over the playground to see so many enjoying reading together. The other activities on Wednesday were tri-golf and cooking.
Thursday saw a bumper family lunch session and mini-monsters - a fun session learning all about different creatures and handling them. Once again, a very enjoyable day.
Lastly, we held gardening sessions and another cooking session during Friday which saw us through to the Friends' BBQ in the evening.
What a lovely week! It was wonderful to share so many varied learning experiences with family members.
